Why Did You Seek Out Training at Carpe Diem Personal Fitness?
It was a perfect storm of bad habits, exacerbated by a sudden illness that brought me to Matt’s doorstep in September of 2015. Not to put too fine of a point on it, but by medical (and fitness) standards I was obese. The breaking point for me was when I was diagnosed with C. Difficile, resultant from antibiotics prescribed for an injury sustained (ironically) while out trying to get some exercise. I felt heavy, sick, and sluggish. I knew I needed to engage the help of a well regarded professional to right my ship, and Matt fit the bill.
Please List Any Long/Short Term Goals You Have and/or Have Achieved:
My primary goal when I first started working with Matt was to feel better. Within the first month, I saw, (and felt), progress. One of the key components of Matts offerings as a personal trainer is the ability to track real progress (or lack thereof…) via body composition measurements. The ability to objectively quantify efforts on a granular level has been extremely motivating. After realizing some significant gains in my overall health and well-being, Matt was able to narrow the focus on areas I wanted to see changes. I’ve lost four dress sizes and 46lbs in 18 months of working with Matt.
Any Thoughts About Working With Matthew or Your Experience Thus Far at Carpe Diem Personal Training:
Matt offers the total package, and has been extremely flexible to work with. In addition to providing instruction on how to lift heavy things without hurting oneself, Matt is a great resource on nutrition and the intricacies and interaction between feeding and training the body. I have gained immeasurable confidence in making better, smarter choices for myself through working with Matt.
